Grove Home & Garden Show

Mark your calendars for the Grove Home & Garden Show on February 12th through the 14th. The event will take place at the Grove Civic Center at 1720 South Main Street in Grove, Ok. The hours of operation will be the following:
- Friday, February 12th (3PM to 7PM)
- Saturday, February 13th (10AM to 6PM)
- Sunday, February 14th (11AM to 3PM)
This Grand Lake OK event is a popular venue for many! Those who attend will find new ideas and products to make home and garden improvements. There will be over 100 different vendors at the show which will also include demonstrations and how to seminars. Area contractors will also be attending the event.

Miami Little Theater Presents “The Shadow Box”

In this compelling dramatic triptych, three terminal patients dwell in separate cottages on a hospital’s grounds.
The three are attended and visited by family and close friends: Agnes and her mother Felicity, estranged further by the latter’s dementia; Brian and Beverly, whose marital complications are exacerbated by Brian’s new lover, Mark; and Joe and Maggie, unready for the strain of Joe’s impending death and its effect on their teenage son.
From the NYU School of Medicine: “Shadow Box seems to work in both senses of its definition in this play (at least according to Webster’s dictionary)—’to box with an imaginary opponent’ . . . ‘a shallow enclosing case usu. with a glass front in which something is set for protection and display.’ The cottages are the boxes into which the audience views the characters boxing with death and care of the dying.”
